This is a complete course, and includes a comprehensive home study pack. Candidates will need access to a PC with internet access. Candidates will also need a good understanding of the English language.
The treatment of sports related problems has grown over recent years, due to the vast increase in leisure activities and the interest in sport and fitness. The demand for a therapist with a wide based knowledge will always find plenty of opportunities to find work. Sports treatments vary greatly from sports massage routines to help prevent injuries, maintain suppleness and improve performance, to full treatments using ulstrasound.
This course will provide you with all the skills required to work in the exciting and rewarding field of Sports Therapy. We train candidates in the safe use of ultrasound equipment, which is now widely used in most professional clubs and clinics. The treatment skills taught in this course also enables you to deal with many more common problems such as back pain and whiplash etc.
Students will be expected to complete 100 hours of case studies in their own time.
Continual assessments and short written tests are used throughout the whole of the course to ensure the student is progressing. There will be a final written test and practical assessment.
This course has been externally accredited by NCFE. It is validated by the Society of Sports Therapists, accepted for membership and insurance of FHT. It is approved by General Council for Massage Therapies (GCMT), Sports & Remedial Therapies Council (SRTC) and Complentary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

#To obtain the ISRM/BTEC on the weekday course, you will be required to attend an ISRM/BTEC assessment day, approximately 6 months after completing your practical training, additional BTEC exams will be required throughout the course. An additional BTEC/ISRM fee of £350 is payable upon enrollment. The BTEC fee covers additional assignments, registration, certification, and one additional assessment day.

Payment options:
Option 1: Full payment of £2,300.00 (discounted fee) (for the additional BTEC add an extra £350).
Option 2: For payment by instalments, £2,530.00 (for the additional BTEC add an extra £350). A minimum deposit of £300 is required (plus the BTEC fee if applicable).
Option 3: Split dates are available on the weekday course for a surcharge of 50%. The surcharge is due to loss of revenue from additional courses where a space has been utilised.
